The Five Ways To Wellbeing

Hello and welcome to our

mental health module!

Thanks to the West Midlands Combined Authority and Sandwell Council Public Health, we are delighted to share our free open access mental health module!

In this module we will be exploring the five different ways to wellbeing across Muslim, Sikh, Hindu and Christian Faiths.

Our comprehensive guide delves into how various religions contribute to mental and emotional wellness.

This information is designed to illustrate how the core tenets of different faith traditions align with the five widely recognised ways to wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Give.

Mental health is a universal concern, which is why we believe religious practices can support wellbeing, which we hope will provide a unique perspective for both believers and those curious about spiritual approaches.

In addition to exploring religious insights, this booklet offers signposting for those experiencing depression and anxiety using the “Algee” approach. Our appendix section includes contact information for professional mental health services, online support groups, and community resources, ensuring that everyone has access to the help they need.

Whether you’re seeking spiritual enrichment or practical guidance, we hope our content is a valuable companion on your journey to emotional wellbeing.
